Stutt stopp

Some friends of mine back in iceland are making a little short film at school, and they asked me to draw them a poster (I did the storyboard for them as well).

I don't need your shit

I got a couple of new Copic markers the other day, which had to be taken for a test draw, of course.

YAAAY WE'RE DOOMED ^^

I recently did an Invader Zim marathon, since it had been a while since I'd watched the shows, and I was left with a strong urge to paint a t-shirt with one of my favourite Gir quotes. So here you go!

Tools of the trade were: Photoshop for reference, Deka textile paint, charcoal pencil to draw on the thsirt, fine brushes and a cotton tshirt, that's all.

Marri's Tattoo

My friend Marri asked me to draw him this tattoo a couple of weeks ago. He took a photo of the final result and sent to me.

Electric Octopus | Supersonic zine

I just did a couple of illustrations for the festival preview in Supersonic Festival's magazine. The illustrations were inspired by the music of a few bands that are mentioned in the preview. This one was inspired by Cut Hands, Agathe Max, and A.P.A.T.T.

Time and Space | Supersonic zine

I just did a couple of illustrations for the festival preview in Supersonic Festival's magazine. The illustrations were inspired by the music of a few bands that are mentioned in the preview. This one is inspired by Zombi, and Teeth of the Sea.

Moved by Beauty

My design for t-shirts sold at the JMJ event in Madrid this year. It was actually an extra assignment in school that I finished in june, but I had forgotten about it, so I hadn't uploaded it yet. So well, our briefing was that the illustration had to be based on the phrase "Moved by Beauty", and the Sagrada Familia and Gaudi's works.

Right Where It Belongs ANIMATION pt.1

Behold the first part of an animated short I'm working on. It is more or less like a music video for the song Right Where It Belongs, by Nine Inch Nails, because it was the song that inspired the animation.
This clip is like 25 seconds of animation, but the whole animation will be around 5 minutes. So, wish me luck on finishing it as soon as I possibly can without destroying my right hand! hahhaha

The Spanish rEvolution

The spanish people have been protesting their government's ways for the last 2 weeks, and on friday afternoon, the 27th of May, I went to Plaza de Catalunya in Barcelona (the morning of that same day the police beat up a lot of people who were just sitting on the plaza unarmed, and totally defenseless). In the afternoon people were encouraged to go there with flowers to emphasize the fact that this is a PACIFIC revolution, without violence, of all people of all ages and professions, people like me and you.

This is the video I recorded of the people there showing their support:

Remember

Wow I just realized that almost all the last drawings I've posted have a figure in profile to the left! My god, perhaps it's time to change things up a bit.

Veins

Had to buy stuff for inking the other day, and finally bought a prismacolor pencil as well, and I just had to try the new toysssss

Closer

Corel Painter!
So, I sort of recycled a drawing I did 2 years ago, very much inspired by the song Closer from Kings of Leon.
Original drawing

Elefantito

Some more stuff done in Corel Painter. This was one of the sketches I did last summer in the zoo, and I decided to use it as a texture exercise. Yepsies.

Alien

Dudes... I'm simply falling in love with Corel Painter.

I brought out a stupid sketch I did in class last year, and traced it (made some minor changes though) with Liquid Inks. Then I used Artist's Oils and Watercolours for the background and the alien's color.
